Terms of use

1. Purpose

These terms set out the conditions for using the Video Catcher extension, the companion app and Video Catcher Pro (the "service") provided by nFiction (the "company").

2. Your responsibilities

The service is a tool for saving videos you have the right to save (videos you made, freely licensed videos, videos the site allows you to save, and so on).
Saving, copying or distributing works without the copyright holder's permission, or breaking a site's terms of use, is prohibited and is your responsibility.
You may not use the service to get around DRM or other technical protection measures. The service does not save DRM-protected video.

3. Free features and Pro

All features are free. Free users can download up to 2 videos every 3 hours, and a Pro license removes this limit. See plans for details.
The buyer may activate a Pro license on up to 5 of their own devices or browsers. Licenses may not be shared with or sold to others.
Pro 1 year renews automatically each year and can be canceled at any time. After canceling, Pro stays active until the end of the period already paid for.
Pro Lifetime does not expire and includes updates at no extra cost for as long as the service is provided.

4. Refund policy

Ask within 7 days of payment and we refund in full, whether or not you used it.
After 7 days, we refund only if a defect in the service prevents normal use and the company cannot fix it.
A refunded license is deactivated immediately.

5. Changes and discontinuation

Changes in browser or site policies may stop some sites or features from working. The company works to fix such issues but does not guarantee the service works on every site. If the service is discontinued, we will give 30 days' notice and refund the unused part of any Pro 1 year period.

6. Limitation of liability

The company is not responsible for disputes arising from your use of content you saved with the service, except for damage caused by the company's intent or gross negligence.
